We CAN handle a little rain!
Last week’s SIP & STRETCH at Stretch Zone® Colonie was a total success — even with the showers, plenty of folks showed up, got a solid stretch, took home a bottle, and gave from the heart for Dawn’s Heart Walk CAN-mpaign.
A huge shoutout you to Sari Medick, Regional GM of Stretch Zone®, for hosting at the Colonie location in style.
Also spotted: CAN President Stephen Hartmann and Lori Costello-Martin - always great to have familiar faces in the crowd.

At UAlbany’s Massry School of Business, the Future of Marketing Gala brought bold ideas, real talk, and next-gen marketing talent together.
Our CAN-ister Dagmar Trippen joined an inspiring panel to discuss strategy, entrepreneurship, and growth with Marketing students who are already shaping what’s next.
A heartfelt shoutout to the UAlbany AMA Student Chapter and a big CAN-grats to all who brought passion and purpose to the room.
The future? It’s in very good hands.

We’d like to give a big CAN-thank you to Siena College and the Stacks Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for hosting a pitch-perfect evening at the Spark Tank competition!
Steve Hartmann had the honor of serving as a judge while students brought the energy, innovation, and entrepreneurial spark to the stage.
A huge CAN-gratulations to all who pitched for their creativity and drive. It was an evening full of bright ideas that CAN go far!
And a special shoutout to Professor Nichol Hall for the warm invitation and continued partnership. We’re always proud to support rising talent in the Capital Region — because together, we CAN make it happen!

A huge congrats to Dawn McCurdy for earning the CAN Award for the most referrals in 2024!
Coming in a close second was Stephen "Millionaire Maker" Hartmann. Let's not forget our third best referring CAN-omie, Lori "Long Name, Amazing Results" Costello-Martin.
Our group is lucky to have these 3 CAN Heads who exhibit great effort to give solid referrals to our members. A virtual High-Five to Dawn, Stephen, and Lori!

CAN President Stephen Hartmann confirmed his commitment to mentorship by attending an event at SUNY Oneonta, sponsored by students Bridget Doherty and Cortney Vanwormer, along with faculty advisors Katalina Hurwitz and Dona Siregar. The event was packed with insightful conversations and thought-provoking questions about careers in finance, sales, investing, and accounting.
Stephen had the chance to connect with students from a variety of majors, all eager to learn and grow. Some of the amazing student clubs in attendance included OnMark (the student AMA chapter affiliated with NY Capital Region AMA), Finance, Management, and Accounting. A huge CAN-grats to the organizers for putting together such an impactful event!

Stephen Hartmann had the pleasure of serving as a judge at the Blackstone Launchpad Ideas Competition yesterday at SUNY Albany. A huge CAN-gratulations to Jenny Huang, manager for the Center for Student Entrepreneurship, for organizing such a fantastic event!
Stephen and the panel heard 12 impressive pitches from students and alumni, each presenting innovative entrepreneurial business ideas. Wishing them all success as they continue to develop their visions - because a great idea CAN go a long way!

Several CAN members had a blast at the Colonie Chamber of Commerce event at Scarlet Knife in Latham last night! It was a CAN-tastic evening spent making connections, enjoying the beautiful patio, and soaking in the great atmosphere.
